Viktor Review 2026: The AI Employee That Lives in Slack
Most AI tools hand you a paragraph and leave the actual work to you. Viktor lives in your Slack or Microsoft Teams, pulls live data from your tools, and drops the finished report, spreadsheet or app back in the thread. Here's what he does, how secure it is, and how the credits work.

Quick answer
Viktor is an AI employee that lives inside Slack or Microsoft Teams and finishes work instead of describing it. You @mention him in a thread, he pulls live data from over 3,200 connected tools, runs the task on his own cloud computer, and drops a finished PDF, spreadsheet, app or pull request back in the channel. Pricing is credit-based: you start free with $100 in credits, and Team plans start at $50 a month.

How I tested Viktor
I broke Viktor down feature by feature for the video above: how he works inside a Slack thread, the integrations, the deliverables, scheduled tasks, code and browser work, the security setup and how the credit pricing works. The customer results in this post are the ones Viktor shared, and I've labeled them that way.
What is Viktor?
Viktor is an AI employee, not a chatbot. I know "AI employee" sounds like a buzzword, but there's a real distinction here. A chatbot hands you text and leaves you to go do something with it. Viktor lives inside Slack or Microsoft Teams and has his own cloud computer running in the background, where he can write and run code to complete a task end to end.
You bring him into a thread the same way you'd tag a teammate:
"Hey Viktor, audit our Meta Ads and compare it to last month."
He logs into Meta Ads, pulls the data, runs the comparison and drops a finished PDF or spreadsheet into the channel. Because he's already in your Slack, you don't brief him from scratch every time or paste in the latest context. No chat window can copy that.
Who is behind Viktor?
Viktor was founded in 2023 by two former Meta engineers. The co-founder and CTO, Peter, was on the core team behind Llama 2 at Meta. The co-founder and CEO, Fred, was a software engineer at Meta before that.
Viktor launched earlier this year and has since closed a $75 million Series A led by Accel. At the time I filmed, over 45,000 businesses had installed Viktor, and the company was approaching a $30 million annual run rate.
No model lock-in
This is the clearest way Viktor separates itself from other AI tools. Viktor isn't built inside OpenAI or Anthropic. It's a harness that sits outside of them, so the model running the show and the subagents doing the work can be well-known models or open-source ones. That makes it more cost-effective, and you're not betting your whole workflow on one company's model.
Viktor's key features
1. 3,200+ integrations through OAuth
Viktor connects to over 3,200 tools out of the box, including Stripe, HubSpot, Google Ads, Meta Ads, PostHog, GitHub, Linear, Google Drive and Notion. Every integration authenticates through OAuth, so you're not pasting API keys into a chat window. It's one click per tool.
That means Viktor can pull live data from all of them in a single run. No more jumping between dashboards, exporting CSVs, uploading them and stitching them together.
2. Finished deliverables
When Viktor finishes a task, you get the actual file or product. That includes:
Board-ready PDFs
Formatted Excel models
Deployed web apps with databases and authentication
Code commits with pull requests
The deployed web apps are the part that blew me away.
3. Viktor tasks: suggested and scheduled work
Viktor watches how your team works in Slack and suggests tasks you didn't have time to ask for. Think a morning revenue brief, weekly ad audits or anomaly alerts. You approve it once and it runs on autopilot.
You can also set the schedule yourself:
A daily standup populated with real data
Weekly competitive scans
Monthly performance reviews
You set the cadence, and he handles execution and delivery.
4. Code and engineering
Viktor can read your codebase, create branches, write fixes and open pull requests with full context. He can also draft release notes. For engineering teams drowning in internal tooling requests, he can build admin panels, dashboards and ops tools as full web apps and deploy them through a link.
5. Browser automation
Viktor operates a real browser. He can fill out forms, work through multi-step workflows, scrape data and capture screenshots. Anything you do by hand in a browser, he can do programmatically. For example, he could log into a supplier portal, pull 300 invoices and hand back a reconciled sheet.

Real results from Viktor customers
Two customer outcomes Viktor shared stood out to me:
An e-commerce brand running a $2.5 million ad budget optimizes 60 campaigns twice a day with Viktor, without adding headcount.
An agency attributed over $130,000 in new ARR to Viktor in its first 30 days.
These are Viktor's customer stories, not my own results, so treat them as examples of what's possible rather than a promise.
Is Viktor secure?
Viktor has a SOC 2 Type I attestation, keeps your credentials in an encrypted vault and injects them only at execution time. The AI model itself never sees your API keys, passwords or tokens, and every workspace is fully isolated. This matters the second you connect Viktor to your real business tools.
One note: SOC 2 Type I checks that controls are designed correctly at a point in time. Type II tests them over a period of months. If your company requires Type II, ask Viktor where they are in that process.
How much does Viktor cost?
Viktor runs on credits that scale with the volume of work you give him, and your first $100 of work is free. A quick report costs very little. Building and deploying a full app costs more. You're paying for finished jobs, not for a seat.
Viktor plans (checked October 19, 2026)
Plan | Price | Credits | Notes |
Free | $0 | Up to $100 in credits | No credit card. Free credits never expire |
Team | From $50/mo | 20,000 credits ($50), 30,000 ($75), 40,000 ($100), 80,000 ($200) | Credits are shared across the workspace, not per seat |
Larger tiers | $300 to $50,000/mo | 125,000 up to 20,000,000 credits | For small, medium and enterprise companies |
Enterprise | Custom | Custom | Through sales |
Prices from viktor.com/pricing, US dollars, billed monthly. Confirm before you buy, since pricing changes.
At the Team tiers, credits work out to $2.50 per 1,000. Unused monthly credits roll over for one month, and nonprofits get 15% off monthly plans after verification.
The way I think about it: compare the cost to hiring the work out. Reports, audits and internal tools could cost tens of thousands of dollars across your team if you hired each one out. Whether your team is 5, 50 or 500 people, you're getting analyst-level output on work you'd otherwise never see.
Who is Viktor for?
Viktor fits teams that would otherwise be hiring for this work.
Pick Viktor if:
You're a founder or small business owner who wants analyst-grade work without a full-time salary
Your marketing team constantly monitors ads, runs reports and does competitive research
Your engineering team needs tickets and internal tools handled without pulling senior engineers off real work
Your ops or finance team wants spreadsheets, invoices and reports off its plate
Your team already works in Slack or Microsoft Teams
Look elsewhere if:
Your team doesn't use Slack or Teams
You want a predictable flat monthly bill, since credits scale with usage
You need SOC 2 Type II today
Pros and cons
Pros:
Delivers finished files, apps and pull requests, not advice
Lives in Slack and Teams, so he already has your team's context
3,200+ integrations, all through OAuth
No model lock-in
Suggests and schedules recurring tasks on his own
Credentials stay in an encrypted vault the model never sees
First $100 of work free
Cons:
Credit pricing makes monthly cost harder to predict
SOC 2 Type I, not Type II
Only works inside Slack or Microsoft Teams
Teams setup needs your admin to allow the app
Viktor vs other AI employees
Viktor isn't the only "AI employee" product. Tools like Marblism and Sintra sell rosters of named AI workers inside their own apps. Viktor takes a different approach: one employee inside the chat tool your team already uses, with a cloud computer to do the work. I compared those two in Marblism vs Sintra, and if you're weighing AI tools more broadly, see my guide to AI tools for service businesses.
Tool | Where it works | How it works | Pick it if |
Slack, Microsoft Teams | One AI employee with his own cloud computer | You want finished work delivered in your team chat
Its own app | A team of AI employees that bring work back for approval | You want named AI roles running daily routines
Its own app | A set of AI assistants you chat with | You want low-cost helpers for specific roles |
My final take
Viktor is one of the most impressive things I've tested this year. He lives natively inside Slack and Microsoft Teams, where you already work, and he operates like an actual employee instead of another chatbot. If you'd otherwise be hiring an analyst, a marketer or an engineer for reports, audits and internal tools, start with the free $100 and give him a real project.
